M+GUI currently supports the following MAME builds: MAME, MESS, SDLMAME, SDLMESS, MAMEPlus

this is the last maintenance release before 1.5.0, which will incorporate major feature updates. my macosx on vmware is broken so a mac build has to be delayed, but source code is available. btw i found a license that serves my purpose for this project and added it to the About dialog.

Emuman, can you update the compile documentation for Macos X?

What it should say is:

Prerequisites: Qt SDK, Xcode

In console:

lrelease mamepgui.pro
qmake -o mamepgui

In Xcode

Open mamepgui project
Select External Frameworks and Libraries
Action -> Add -> Existing Frameworks...
Select libz.dylib
Build project

It doesn't start:

Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: QtXml.framework/Versions/4/QtXml
Referenced from: /Users/Sune/Play/MAME/mamepgui.app/Contents/MacOS/mamepgui
Reason: image not found

It looks like it wants me to install Qt?

Previous version of mamepgui is 3MB larger than yours and works fine, something must be missing.

(I'm on 32-bit 10.6.2 running 64-bit SDLMAME)

that one was built with dynamic lib, so yes some Qt library is required. i'll release a static one within several days.

this frontend still doesn't support x86_64 linux does it?

It shouldn't specifically need to - x64 linux runs 32-bit binaries just fine, and a 32-bit FE can launch a 64-bit SDLMAME (and vice-versa).

Does not work on MacOS X 10.5.8 - crashes immediately after start!

Just tried this for the first time on YDL 6.2 / PS3 -- works great! Thanks.
