Could P.O.W. - Prisoners of War be added to the next M1? Also, in Gradius/Nemesis the Warm-Up music is nowhere to be found in M1, it is also not in the Sound Test in their service modes.

That's because the warmup music's part of the BIOS, not the game. Check "Bubble System BIOS (bubsys.zip, parent nemesis.zip)".

Is Gladiator playable in M1? I know it's not in Bridge or Fox and I know it has a lot of repetitive music in it (hardly worth having playable for that reason alone frown ), but I'm wanting to get a few of the sound effects and some of the bonus/victory tunes from it too. Just recording while it's playing in mame ain't cutting it. ('cause of music overlapping :annoyed: )

Pretty Please? ...I mean, it'd sure be nice if Gladiator was playable in M1. Can ya help me out? :bemused:

A quick clarification: Bridge and Fox are frontends - both of them, along with the commandline interface, rely on the M1 engine (m1.dll) to do the actual work. So it'd be pretty odd if one supported games the other didn't ;-)

I can look at Gladiator. I believe it's not one of the standard Taito sound systems, but it still shouldn't be too bad.

I always thought that but... Well, I had one version of FoxM1 and it played music from Black-Tiger but the version of BridgeM1 that I had at the time didn't. I guess I didn't pay attention to the (core?) versions numbers. :bemused:

Good luck.

Hey there.

I came here for a request as well, so I thought I might as well use that thread.

First of all, congratulations and many thanks to the creators of M1. It has not cease to be a source of enjoyment eversince I first tried it, and I don't think it will end soon. =)

Now, to the point. I've an avid VGM collector, and could recently listen to some music from Vasara and Vasara 2 on a shooting game compilation album, and loved it. Sadly, I noticed these games aren't supported yet by M1. I have no idea of how much effort it requires, but if it's not too much, I'd love to see them supported in the next release.

*With hope and thanking you guys again* wink

Vasara 1/2 have no separate sound CPU, so it's essentially not m1-able.

OG.

SSV doesn't have a separate sound CPU, unfortunately. The driver program did seem fairly well separated from the rest of the game, but it's still not an easy job.

Ack, I see. Well it seems the only solution I'll have will be to play/record the games, then. Unless you feel like spending time on that.

Thanks for the fast replies. =)
