Folly Farm
8th August 2010
My original plan for today was to take the morning ferry back to Ireland, but technical problems resulted in the sailing being cancelled. As a result I found myself with four spare hours to do something in what is a beautiful but not exactly bustling area of South Wales.
Following on from a recommendation yesterday I decided to visit Folly Farm, a combination adventure park and zoo that is home to what may be the finest collection of classic fairground rides in the United Kingdom, all of which are operational and appear in as-new condition. A few representative photographs appear below, though they hardly do justice to the place. Those interested in fairground history should really make the effort to visit the place themselves.
