Emerald Park

27th July 2024

When I sat down to write this trip report I realised that it would be pretty hard to find something interesting to say about my third trip to Emerald Park in just over two months. With that in mind, I’ve decided to be uncharacteristically brief.

Today's visit was primarily about two exclusive ride sessions arranged by the European Coaster Club. The morning featured a single lap on Fianna Force, followed by five laps on Quest. Both coasters were available again in the evening, but I decided to stay at Fianna Force where I clocked up sixteen consecutive rides: six in the front, three in the back, and the remainder in whatever was available. It’s a measure of the calibre of Emerald Park's latest coaster that I will soon have completed more laps on it than Cú Chulainn, which opened in 2015.

The rest of the day featured a very lazy tour around the remaining coasters, the 5D Cinema, Viking Voyage, The Show (pictured below), and The Lodge Restaurant. We could easily have managed three times as many rides if we’d wanted to, but there really was no rush.
